Can blended finance rise to the needs of coastal communities?
Members of the American Sustainable Business Council, the Global Business Alliance, the Global Compact and others at the intersection of global and national interests attended a cocktail reception hosted by Alliance Institute (AI) at the home of Harriet Mouchly-Weiss, founding director of Strategy XXI Media & Marketing. The evening provided an opportunity for further discussion regarding the UN’s Sustainable Development Guidelines (SDGs) and the commitment to link the “talk” at the United Nations with the “walk” that is occurring in coastal communities around the globe. AI’s Executive Director, Stephen Bradberry focused on economic opportunities in the Gulf Coast region that offered best practices established around the UN’s SDGs and the human right to finance for development.
